Sports Development Jobs
The need for sports development jobs is obvious - as a nation we are getting fatter by the year, with fewer and fewer people participating in sports. Sport development jobs aim to address this problem by finding ways to get more people up off their couches and into clubs and gyms.
Sports development jobs can be with local or national organizations - some focus on a particular sport, while others aim to get people involved in any sport or activity.
So what skills do you need for sports development jobs? First and foremost is a love of sports. To be a good ambassador you have to believe what you are promoting, and that means you have to be an enthusiastic and active person, one who is excited about sports in general - or at very least, the one you are promoting.
Good people skills are also essential, the ability to get on well with others and communicate easily with groups and individuals.
You will also need to be creative and imaginative - if it were easy to get people moving, these jobs wouldn't exist! Finding new and original ways to increase participation is a sure fire way to be successful.
